Marketplace of AWS

The AWS Marketplace is an online store that helps customers find, buy, and immediately start using software and services that run on Amazon Web Services (AWS). It's designed for both businesses and developers who use AWS, offering a wide range of solutions from independent software vendors (ISVs) that are ready to be deployed on AWS.  For each listing in AWS Marketplace, you can access detailed information on pricing options, available support, and reviews from other AWS customers. You can also explore software solutions by industry and use case. For example, suppose your company is in the healthcare industry. In AWS Marketplace, you can review use cases that software helps you to address, such as implementing solutions to protect patient records or using machine learning models to analyze a patient’s medical history and predict possible health risks.

Each icon is accompanied by a label describing the category it represents:

  • Infrastructure Software: Depicted with an icon of a server rack and plug, suggesting software that provides foundational services for computing, networking, storage, and databases.

  • DevOps: Illustrated with a set of tools in a toolbox, symbolizing tools and services that facilitate DevOps practices, which combine software development and IT operations for faster and more efficient deployment.

  • Data Products: Shown with a pie chart and a bar graph icon, indicating software related to data analytics, business intelligence, data processing, and management.

  • Professional Services: Represented by a laptop with speech bubbles, likely denoting services such as consulting, support, and managed services offered by professionals.

  • Business Applications: The icon shows a magnifying glass, a stack of coins, a person, and an envelope, suggesting applications that support business functions like CRM, ERP, finance, or communication.

  • Machine Learning: A hexagonal structure that might represent a neural network, indicating tools and services related to artificial intelligence and machine learning.

  • Industries: Displayed with a gear and a factory symbol, signifying specialized software tailored for specific industries such as healthcare, finance, manufacturing, etc.

  • Internet of Things (IoT): Symbolized with a cloud and connected nodes, representing the network of physical objects—'things'—that are embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies to connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the internet.

AWS Marketplace offers products in several categories, such as Infrastructure Software, DevOps, Data Products, Professional Services, Business Applications, Machine Learning, Industries, and Internet of Things (IoT).

Within each category, you can narrow your search by browsing through product listings in subcategories. For example, subcategories in the DevOps category include areas such as Application Development, Monitoring, and Testing.

Cloud computing

Cloud computing is a technology model that enables access to a shared pool of computing resources and services over the Internet. Instead of owning and maintaining physical servers and data centers, organizations can use cloud computing services provided by cloud service providers. These services include computing power, storage, databases, networking, software, and more. Cloud computing services can be categorized into several main models: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): IaaS provides virtualized computing resources over the Internet. Users can rent virtual machines, storage, and networking components, allowing them to run and manage their operating systems and applications. Platform as a Service (PaaS): PaaS offers a platform that includes the underlying infrastructure, development tools, and services to build, deploy, and manage applications. Users focus on coding and application development while the platform handles the underlying infrastructure. Software as a Service ...

The AWS Free Tier is designed to give you hands-on experience with a range of Amazon Web Services (AWS) products and services without charging you for usage up to a specific limit. This tier primarily benefits new AWS customers, allowing them to try different AWS services and gain practical experience before committing to more extensive usage. The Free Tier includes offers that are available for 12 months following your AWS sign-up date, as well as offers that are always free. Here are the main components of the AWS Free Tier: 12-Months Free: These offers are available to new AWS customers and are valid for 12 months following your AWS sign-up date. After the 12-month free usage term, you pay standard, pay-as-you-go service rates. Always Free: These offers do not expire and are available to all AWS customers. They provide limited access to a range of AWS services for free forever. However, the usage limits reset monthly. Trials: Short-term trial offers start when you activate a part...
